PARADE ROUTE

The Wellington Pride Parade transforms the heart of Pōneke into a vibrant celebration of culture and community.

Weaving along Cambridge Terrace, Courtenay Place and Dixon Street, the route offers fantastic sightlines from wide footpaths, putting you right alongside the marchers and colourful floats.

Before the Parade kicks off, immerse yourself in street celebrations across five themed zones along Courtenay Place and Dixon Street. Enjoy live entertainment, interactive activities, and plenty of local colour before the procession gets underway.

Festivities officially open at Tripod Corner (corner of Courtenay Place and Cambridge Terrace) with a mihi whakatau from mana whenua, followed by the formal presentation to honour our Grand Marshal.

From 5pm, watch the spectacle unfold as Dykes on Bikes, mana whenua, and our Grand Marshal lead the procession down Courtenay Place, across Taranaki Street, and onto Dixon Street, culminating at the iconic Rainbow Crossing on Cuba Street.

Once the final float passes, the streets belong to everyone. Step off the footpath and join our Open to All section—marching together to the Rainbow Crossing as we flow straight into the evening’s festivities.
